HubSpot Senior Strategist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior HubSpot Strategist to join our dynamic team at Origin 63. In this client-facing role, you will work directly with clients to develop tailored strategies that align with their goals and support the successful implementation of HubSpot solutions. You will be responsible for strategy blueprint creation, client training, and the seamless transition from strategy to execution.

The Senior HubSpot Strategist will lead discovery calls, optimize HubSpot’s full suite of tools, and manage complex multi-hub onboarding projects. This role requires strong collaboration with sales, implementation, project management, and development teams to ensure a smooth and strategic approach to client success. Additionally, you will play a critical role in ongoing client engagement, retention, and expansion by identifying opportunities for continued optimization and growth.

This is a temp to full-time position after a 90-day period with flextime scheduling (typically required online hours from 6 AM to 12 PM PST).

SKILLS:

  • Deep knowledge of HubSpot’s full suite (Marketing, Sales, Service, CMS, and Operations Hubs) and their integration capabilities.

  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive strategies that align with client goals and solve complex business challenges.

  • Strong skills in managing timelines, expectations, and multi-stakeholder projects across various levels of a client’s organization.

  • Excellent presentation and training skills, with the ability to educate client teams on HubSpot tools and concepts.

  • Ability to analyze project data and client feedback to refine strategies and improve project outcomes.

  • Experience leading discovery, solution design, and process mapping for HubSpot implementations.

  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, ensuring agility as client needs evolve.

  • Effective collaboration and communication with internal teams, including sales, implementation, customer success, and development.

Responsibilities 


  • Discovery & Solution Design: Conduct discovery calls with clients to assess their business objectives, pain points, and opportunities. Develop strategic recommendations and present tailored HubSpot solutions
  • Strategy Blueprint Development: Create detailed strategy blueprints, ensuring alignment with client goals. Secure client sign-off before execution.
  • Project Handoff & Collaboration: Seamlessly transition projects to the implementation and project management teams. Provide documentation and support assets for successful execution.
  • Client Engagement & Training: Lead client training sessions to educate marketing, sales, and service teams on HubSpot’s tools and capabilities. Offer ongoing strategic guidance as client needs evolve.
  • HubSpot Implementation Leadership: Guide clients in data architecture, CRM migrations, integrations, and reporting. Liaise between client teams and developers to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Client Retention & Expansion: Identify long-term client needs, propose new HubSpot features or upgrades, and contribute to upsell opportunities and renewals
  • Strategic Execution & Client Enablement: Ensure the strategy blueprint is updated and implementation requirements are clearly defined after every discovery call, while also reviewing completed implementation items and conducting client workshops for approval and training.
  • Reporting & Optimization: Analyze client data and feedback to optimize HubSpot usage, ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with sales, implementation, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution and effective client onboarding.

Requirements


  • 5-10 years of work experience in strategic consulting and HubSpot strategy roles.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex, multi-hub HubSpot implementations and CRM migrations.
  • Strong understanding of HubSpot integrations (native and custom) and technical platform capabilities.
  • Experience working directly with sales, marketing, and service teams to optimize HubSpot workflows and automation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead client conversations and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities, balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • HubSpot Certifications in sales, marketing, or service tools preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field is a plus.
