HubSpot Senior Strategist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Strategist to join our dynamic team at Origin 63. As a Senior Strategist, you will play a key role in working directly with clients to develop tailored strategies that align with their goals and support the successful implementation of HubSpot solutions. This is a critical client-facing role where you will lead discovery calls, design strategy blueprints, and work collaboratively with both our sales and implementation teams.

You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of comprehensive strategy blueprints, managing complex multi-hub onboarding projects, and ensuring smooth transitions from strategy to execution. The Senior Strategist will also support the long-term success of clients, ensuring that our solutions evolve as their business needs change.

This position is open to all experienced Sr. HubSpot Strategists with a proven track record in managing complex, multi-hub onboarding programs and driving client success. A thorough understanding of HubSpot’s full suite of tools is essential, as is the ability to consult on all aspects of HubSpot's functionality, from sales and marketing automation to service and reporting.

Note: This is a full-time position with flextime scheduling (required online hours from 8 AM to 2 PM PST).

SKILLS:

  • Ability to develop comprehensive strategies that align with client goals and solve complex business challenges.

  • Strong skills in managing timelines and client expectations (all levels of a client’s organization), and solving complex business challenges with HubSpot tools to ensure successful project execution.

  • In-depth knowledge of HubSpot tools (All Hubs) and their integration capabilities.

  • Ability to lead client conversations, present solutions, and manage relationships for long-term success.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in working with internal sales, implementation, and project management teams.

  • Ability to analyze project data and client feedback to refine strategies and improve project outcomes.

  • Proven track record of working with various client-level stakeholders to process discovery and develop strategy implementation plans that simultaneously take into account the goals of executive leadership and the needs of the end user.

Responsibilities 


  • Discovery & Solution Design: Work closely with the sales and implementation teams to conduct discovery and provide strategic recommendations for closed-won deals. These efforts will result in the creation of a strategy blueprint, along with the presentation and training of implemented solutions for each project.
  • Strategy Blueprint Development: Create a comprehensive strategy blueprint, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure the strategy is aligned with the client’s business objectives and HubSpot’s capabilities. Requiring the final signoff from clients.
  • Project Handoff & Collaboration: Once deals are closed, seamlessly hand off the project requirements to the assigned internal team: work strategist (you) will own, vs. implementation, Development, and project management teams. Ensure all strategic documentation is passed along to guarantee successful execution.
  • Client Engagement & Strategy Leadership:Serve as the main strategic point of contact for clients, providing guidance on HubSpot’s best practices and driving successful onboarding through tailored solutions. Ensure the strategy evolves as client needs and business objectives change.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the implementation team, customer success, and sales to ensure smooth project execution, seamless client onboarding, and delivery of solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Long-Term Client Relationship Management: Support ongoing relationships with long-term strategic clients, offering ongoing optimization and strategic guidance for continued success and HubSpot tool adoption.

Key Performance Indicators


  
New Scope Support: Working with Project Management and sales to vet new project opportunities within the existing book of business and provide client guidance on what is possible with HubSpot to meet their needs. You will be asked to support the delivery of strategic recommendations, supporting documentation, and provide scoping support. This includes a requirement of new requirements scoping within 2 business days.
 
Client Satisfaction: Client feedback scores at 90% or higher (measured through client surveys) across your assigned book of business (where applicable). 
 
Cross-Department Collaboration: Effectiveness of collaboration between sales, implementation, and customer success teams as escalations are raised (support to resolve escalations raised to you within 2 business days). 

Client Expansion: Contribution to client growth and retention, demonstrated through upsell opportunities, renewals, or continued strategic support.

Requirements


  • 5-10 years of work experience in strategic consulting and HubSpot strategy roles, with a strong background in complex multi-hub onboarding projects experience with integrations (both native and custom), and a clear understanding of the technical aspects of HubSpot platforms.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex HubSpot implementations, with hands-on experience in all HubSpot Hubs.
  • Experience working directly with clients to define and deliver strategies that solve business problems and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead client conversations and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather insights required to develop phase 1 blueprint and timeline assets.
  • Strong time management skills. The person who excels in this role will have strong self-guided time management skills to balance multiple projects at once. With the ability to create detailed timelines and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to think critically, identify client challenges, and propose actionable solutions that align with their goals.
